From
middle guard position take three steps forward from your right
foot..
Step back
from the left foot in accordance with the distance stepped forward
by the Hoo Do. At the same time extend both hands with the spirit
threatening a thrust to your opponent.
Take one
light step forward on your right foot and deliver a thrust into the
Hoo do's chest. Turn the cutting edge down and slightly to the
right.
Both Sun
Do and Hoo Do establish middle guard position with a strong mind.
Step
forward to the right with your right foot and at the same time raise
your sword up to the level of your left shoulder, holding a posture.
Step
forward on your left foot and swing the sword up over your head.
Step
forward on your left foot and deliver a cut to the Sun Do's right
waist.
As you
step forward on your right foot, try not to be self conscious and
deliver full-blooded cut to the Hoo Do's head.
Lower
your right knee forward to the right and raise the left knee to face
the Sun Do.
Your
point of observation moves away momentarily from the Hoo Do, but as
soon as the cut has been executed, it returns to face the Hoo Do.
Turn the
sword over and assume guard position with the sword at one's side to
conceal the arm, making it clear you are still on guard by asserting
mental and physical alertness against an opponent's attack.
